Sprint launches 4G In San Antonio and Austin

Sprint announced the launch of their 4G mobile broadband in the Austin and San Antonio, Tx area's today. Offering speeding up to 10x faster than 3G with their blazing fast network consumers with the WiMax 4G/3G USB dongle in a 4G service area are likely to see pictures and songs downloading in seconds rather than minutes.  



Sprint is expecting to launch their 4G network to multiple markets in 2010, Boston, New York, San Fransisco to name a few.  For now Sprint is offering a 4G promotion to get the U300 USB Dongle for free ( after $50 mail in rebate).  Sprint also has new 4G/3G data plans for businesses and consumers starting at $69.99 for unlimited data.


For consumers that live outside of a 4G service area can get 3G only data plans starting $59.99, but when in a 4G service area can purchase a day plan for $9.99 and receive 4G service for the day.


Sprint is the only wireless carrier to offer 4G services on the Clearwire WiMax network.
